Team Of Bowlers !!!

It was late sunday afternoon and we were on course to do something eats our time , which we always tend to do together..its or it's pravin's call to bowl few foot ball size balls againts 10 wickets..adhangoooo...10 pin bowling ..

Me and volt had some Osi dosai @ Mr & Mrs Pravin's home..shankar joined half way..and our jp a.k.a Mr.fond-of-gym joined us at the last minute.it's was a six seater cab, 3 facing the driver and 3 facing the other 3. catching a seat facing towards the driver is really a tough goal ;). you wont get nausea even when being thrown @ roller coaster but sitting on the opposite direction in the car always tried to push something out.

Jp got the beating of nausea and had it impact on usual Dumb charades . reached Reading bowl by 3.30 .After some hands on pool table , we got into a pair of DMK shoes..yeah here it was Half Red and Half black.

All set to go and the team of 6 bowlers got ready to bowl

Game - I : Debutant Shankar bowled some awesome piece to secure him the first place and voltaire's comeback at the end put him in shankar's path until the last minute lead by Mrs.Gayathri Pravin . I was happy that highest score of 129 by me was not compromised today;) although securing 4th place in this game . Pravin won the competion of Mr.I-am-not-the-last-guy , so Jp getting a beating here too. Game - II : plate of Onion rings and finger chips with coke boosted atleast jp . you know wat oily fingers can do.I would call this game as 'a game of strikes and spares'.couple of strikes from Jp put him in drivers seat with 'Dei Vaaranda from Chennai -28'song as the backgroung song . Gayathri Pravin was awarded as Silent Killer as she bowls the ball @ 1km/hr , but still hitting the pins correctly including few strikes.
Voltaire was out of form today as he didnt get a chance to booze. Shankar's strokes made me think if he has booked any late evening movie tickets without informing us :) :) .consistent pravin secured 3rd place and a couple of strikes at the end , put me on track and the scores were read as below .

T20 World Cup Field setup !!

Now we have lost the T20 championship and blaming is now on the inexperienced youth & amateur team while they were praised as Energetic Youth and 'born to win the world cup team'

Let me go back to the inaugural ICC T20 edition finals..

Nail bitting finish !!
I still remember the way , the fielding setup was done for twenty 20 finals (India vs Pakistan) and it stilll amazes me :) . I was running back home from my bus stop to catch atleast the last few overs of india batting..I could watch the match @ office or in Siva's home nearby but I always wanted to go back home and sit in the same chair..

Peeked out in a TV showroom on the way to home...India has already lost 2 wickets and has scored around 85 in 12 plus overs.
Reached home by 6.30 due to usual , but energetic bangalore traffic on that day.. Sat in my Fav chair and took over as the Fielding captain ..yes fielding captain .

Field setup : one in the chair , one on the floor , two inside the 1st bedroom...two in the other bedroom unknowing wats happening in the world..

Am talking abt the field setup we did in our room to make india win ....like wat srikanth( i guess he was ) was standing in same position until the end of kapil swashbucking innings of 175* in 1983 worldcup semifinals.. you may call it stupidity or superstitious ....but when it comes to cricket ..we INDIAN take every oppty to make india win: ) .

Ragha Captain and Me ( Fielding captain) never allowed Pandi or guru bhai to stay near pitch (tv room) ..as they always make the opponent team to score / take indian wicket...so they always stay in the first bedroom awaiting their chance to peek the tv , if we get any wicket / score 4 or 6....

India somehow managed to score 157 in 20 overs which we felt was a below par score .but considering the fact we have already defended pakistan with 141 runs in the league match and also a proud fact 'No Loss against pakistan in the world cup at any cost'....

Pakistan's reply was not impressing though..losing 2 wickets in 3 overs...but a fine strokes from Imran Nazir and Younis Khan put pakistan back into track...a fine innings from Misbah was threating our proud fact ;(

We were very much worried abt the Mr.big hitter and thanks to Irfan as afridi went back holding a duck as Mr.Gone with the wind ..

54 required from 24 balls...even sachin and sehwag could find a bit difficult..Tanvir's 3 sixes in bhajji and 2 sixes in sreesanth's over has already made me eat half of my nails..

2.1 overs to spare and 20 runs..Tanvir and Misbah with pakistan..Rp the stump ripper and Mr.no belief on my face with India...70 % would bet on pakistan...we betted on RP...Sressanth and RP gave us two blows...butt

13 runs from 6 balls of Mr.No-belief-in-my-face ..but still fighting for 1 billion indian fans..

Joginder started well with bowl-on-the-offside-strategy.but a wideball and low full toss six has already put him on the scanner...

Ohh My God...Joginder why dont you pause and call back your home and make your home safe..

This guy Dhoni has some macham somewhere in his body ( cant translate) and off goes Misbah in the slowest ball of the innings .thanks to dhoni for bringing sreesanth to the right place..

there goes the fireworks and whole India is on the feet....atleast banglore is in the car and bikes waving proud indian flag..
